Sign up now for OMICRON’s PAC World Americas Preconference Seminar
You are cordially invited to attend OMICRON’s Pre-Conference Seminar on Transmission Line Protection which our team will be presenting at PAC World Americas on Monday, August 31, 2015 in Raleigh, NC. There is no fee to attend!
The seminar – “Improving Reliability of Transmission Line Protection through Proper Setting, Testing, and Validation of Protection Systems” – will demonstrate why it is very important to have the correct system modeling data and how engineering estimates of that data can impact system reliability.
Actual measured values are often critical for correct protection settings and the CP CU1 illustrates this by our example Case Studies. The vulnerability of the line protection coordination and operations are demonstrated using the estimated model data versus measured values data with RelaySimTest. System Testing proves the overall security of the protection scheme when correct settings are utilized.
Seminar topics will include:
- How to Measure Line Impedance with CPC CU-1 (Safety & Procedures)
- Live Demo CU1 and CTA
- Why Measure Line Impedance? Modeling vs Measurement
- Adapting OMICRON Test Templates with Measured Line Parameters
- System Testing Comparisons Utilizing “RelaySimTest”
- And several case studies
This workshop is geared especially for Maintenance and Test Technicians, Substation Engineers, Equipment Manufacturers, Consultants, Product Development Engineers, Asset Management Engineers, and Engineering Managers.
