NEMRA 2017 Orlando, FL – February 1st-3rd

Chapman Company will be attending the 2017 NEMRA Conference in Orlando, FL next month. We will be in attendance February 1st through the 3rd.

NEMRA Conference

One of NEMRA’s most valuable member benefits is the Annual Conference. Over the years, this meeting has proven to be a most rewarding and productive event for the representative and the manufacturer. The purpose of the meeting is to:

• Provide educational opportunities for representatives that strengthen their professional, technical, and management skills.
• Offer manufacturers an annual opportunity to meet collectively with their sales force to communicate their marketing and sales initiatives.
• Facilitate individual business planning sessions and communication between the representative and his/her manufacturers.
• Expose the representative to new companies seeking to establish sales representation and to business providers offering new tools and
services.
• Offer formal and informal networking opportunities for the benefit of all attendees.

Battery 101 – Richmond, VA

Our annual “Battery 101” training in Richmond, VA hosted by territory manager, Eric Layman. This training traditionally is scheduled for two days in August. Further news and sign-up opportunities will be posted a few months in advance of the next training.

Eagle Eye Power Solutions is a world leader in battery system monitoring solutions. The ELM-Series (Electrolyte Level Monitor) from Eagle Eye is just one in a family of innovative and cost-saving products that we are very excited about. Installation is quick and easy and once the system is in place you will be able to monitor the electrolyte levels and temperature of each cell in your battery string, both of which are critical to the life and peak performance of the battery.

We encourage you to take a look at all that Eagle Eye Power Solutions has to offer and as always, Chapman Company is ready and waiting to assist you with this and any of the other great products we represent.

Sign up now for OMICRON’s PAC World Americas Preconference Seminar

You are cordially invited to attend OMICRON’s Pre-Conference Seminar on Transmission Line Protection which our team will be presenting at PAC World Americas on Monday, August 31, 2015 in Raleigh, NC.  There is no fee to attend!

The seminar – “Improving Reliability of Transmission Line Protection through Proper Setting, Testing, and Validation of Protection Systems” – will demonstrate why it is very important to have the correct system modeling data and how engineering estimates of that data can impact system reliability.

Actual measured values are often critical for correct protection settings and the CP CU1 illustrates this by our example Case Studies. The vulnerability of the line protection coordination and operations are demonstrated using the estimated model data versus measured values data with RelaySimTest. System Testing proves the overall security of the protection scheme when correct settings are utilized.

Seminar topics will include:

  • How to Measure Line Impedance with CPC CU-1 (Safety & Procedures)
  • Live Demo CU1 and CTA
  • Why Measure Line Impedance? Modeling vs Measurement
  • Adapting OMICRON Test Templates with Measured Line Parameters
  • System Testing Comparisons Utilizing “RelaySimTest”
  • And several case studies

This workshop is geared especially for Maintenance and Test Technicians, Substation Engineers, Equipment Manufacturers, Consultants, Product Development Engineers, Asset Management Engineers, and Engineering Managers.
